A pivot window differs from a regular casement window in terms of its opening mechanism. Unlike a door-like hinge on the side, the casement of a pivot window pivots vertically or horizontally from a center-mounted hinge. This unique design allows for more flexibility in terms of space and positioning. Additionally, roof windows can be equipped with a higher pivot point to create even more room in front of them.
When the catches on the casements are released, the pivot window can be opened and pivoted. However, unlike normal casement windows, the tilt option is not available as a standard feature.
At MKR Safety Metal Doors and Windows, our pivot windows are not limited to skylights or rectangular shapes. We offer circle and oval pivot windows, which are highly popular choices. Furthermore, we also provide door-sized pivot windows that can serve as convenient entry and exit points for your home.
